Jim Donnelly has lived in South Florida since 1972 …

Coral Springs resident Jim Donnelly moved to South Florida with his family in 1972 from Philadelphia. He grew up playing and loving baseball and soccer.

At 17, while still in high school, he landed a job at WPTV Channel 5, a subsidiary of NBC, as a sports editor / videographer. It was every sports fan’s dream job.

In the 38 years since touring the world with a slung television camera, he has won the Associated Press and Emmy Awards for his work on behalf of his peers. Donnelly then traded the TV camera for a camera and began working as a photographer for the Florida Marlins, Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins, and Homestead Miami Speedway. Running in these fields and tracks for years took their toll on the body, and it couldn’t take it anymore.

Very quickly, he discovered a new passion: real estate photography.

Donnelly has photographed over 1,000 homes and over 250 commercial properties. Each property presents its unique challenges. He loves the fun of helping a family find their new home, and that’s why he got his real estate license. He takes great pride in helping a family take the next step in his life’s journey.

In a real estate transaction, there are so many questions that need answers. It is a scary time. Nothing scares him anymore after the things he has seen in his media career, especially real estate matters.
